Prayer During The Time Of Mourning

God our Father, God of all consolation in your unending love and mercy for us, you turn the darkness of death into the dawn of a new life. Show now your compassion for us in our sorrow. Be our refuge and our strength to lift us from the darkness of our grief to the peace and light of your healing presence. Your Son, our Lord Jesus, by dying for us, conquered death and by rising again, restored life. may we go forward confidently, knowing that after this pilgrimage we will be reunited with all those whom we love, in your home where every tear will be wiped away. We ask this through Jesus in the Holy Spirit of Love. Amen.
