The Te Deum

To you, O God, be praise!
We acknowledge you as Lord.
In you the whole earth worships its everlasting Father.
All the angels cry to you, and heaven and all its mighty Powers;
The Cherubim and Seraphim continually cry aloud;
Holy, holy, holy are you, Lord God of hosts;
Your sovereign glory fills all heaven and earth.
The triumphant band of Apostles, the prophets, that noble company, the white-robed throng of Martyrs, all sing your praise.
Throughout the world, the holy Church proclaims you the father of majesty unbounded; and your worshipful, true and only Son, the Holy Spirit who befriend us.
You, Christ, are King of Glory you, the Father's everlasting Son, To set us free you took our flesh, not shrinking from the Virgin's womb.
You conquered the pains of death and opened heaven to all believers.
You sit at the right hand of God, amid your Father's glory.
We believe that you will come to judge the world.
Help us, then we entreat you; help your servant whom you have random with your precious blood.
Cause them to be numbered with your heritage. Save your people, Lord, and bless your heritage. And govern them and evermore uphold them.
Day by day we bless you and praise your name forever and ever.
Lord, be pleased to keep us this day from all sin
Have mercy on us Lord, have mercy.
Lord, let your mercy rest upon us, who put all our trust in you.
In you, Lord, is my hope; let me never be put to confusion.
